AMERICAN BATH ENTERPRISES, INC., HAS AN EXTENSIVE INVENTORY OF COMPOSITE CASTED AND GEL-COATED FIBERGLASS WHITE SHOWER PANS FOR THE BATHROOM, AVAILABLE IN CENTER DRAIN, END DRAIN, WHEELCHAIR ACCESS, AND WHEELCHAIR TRANSFER MODELS.
What is a shower pan? It’s basically the floor or base of a shower stall. Every shower pan includes a drain that allows water to flow out of the shower area in a controlled manner, without leaks. Because it also functions as a shower base that must bear the weight of anyone who stands on it, the pan must be made of highly durable material, such as concrete, plastic, or fiberglass.
For obvious reasons, you want to have a high-quality shower base—but it’s also true that these materials will inevitably start wearing out with age and repeated use, no matter how well designed. When this happens, you will need to replace it, before damaging leaks can develop. How do you know when to replace a shower pan? A crack that develops across its center is bad news, and so is any movement or instability in the pan when you step into the shower area.
Installing shower pans is a process that can take hours, and many people understandably prefer to get professional help when repairing or remodeling this area of the home.
What kind of pan you should purchase depends on the construction of your shower area. Luckily, American Bath Enterprises, Inc., has a wide assortment of pans in varying shapes and sizes, and you can explore our inventory by clicking on the images posted on this page.
