9 Shower Organizer and Bathroom Organization Ideas

Are you getting tired of watching TV and looking for something to do to keep you occupied while stuck at home during the COVID-19 pandemic? Why not spend some time in your bathroom and tackle a shower organizer project?

Most people have bars of soap, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, shaving gel, razors, and other such things crammed into their showers. Let’s face it. Most showers don’t offer a lot of storage space without getting a little bit creative using these bathroom organization ideas to maximize shower storage space.

1. Install shower corner shelves.

These shelves are easy to install in the corners of your shower. They are great for keeping soap, shampoo, conditioner, and other such things out of the way.

2. Install plastic hooks.

If you have loofahs, shower scrunchies/puffs, shower body brush, face towels, or other such things that need to be hung up, plastic hooks work great. Use ones that can support the weight of the item and which have a sticky backing so you can quickly install them.

3. Install toothbrush organizers for razors and other small items.

Get some double-sided, heavy-duty sticky tape and use these to secure the toothbrush organizers to the walls inside the shower. Some organizers may already come with the sticky backing. You can even use them to store your toothbrush and toothpaste if you brush your teeth in the shower each morning.

4. Install a shower rack hung from the showerhead.

A shower rack will provide more storage space for essential shower items. There are all sorts of designs to choose from. Some designs have multiple “shelves,” while others can have a “basket” for the bottom storage area.

5. Install soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers.

Tired of juggling bottles of soap, shampoo, and conditioner? Install a set of dispensers on the wall instead. When you need soap, shampoo, or conditioner, you just push the dispensing button on the dispenser.

6.  Install a towel rack with shelving near the ceiling.

A towel rack with shelving is also a great idea for increasing storage space in the shower. The hooks on the rack are perfect for hanging up face towels, shower scrunchies/puffs, and other such things.

7. Install a shower rack/caddy on the ceiling.

If you are tight on space in the shower, don’t overlook using the ceiling for mounting storage items that can be kept out of the way, but also easily in reach.

8. Install a medicine cabinet with a built-in shelf.

There are plastic medicine cabinets with built-in shelves you can install in the shower for storage. Plus, you get the added bonus of a mirror for shaving your face.

9. Hang a storage caddy from the shower bar, shower curtain hooks, or over the shower door.

Don’t forget that you can use this part of the shower for adding additional storage options. Just make sure the weight of the storage caddy and items doesn’t overload the shower bar, hooks, or door.
